The darwin crocodile farm operates a significant crocodile tourism and farming business in darwin, northern territory, Australia. The business operates on approx 70 hectares of land adjacent to the stuart highway approx 40km outside darwin. Established in 1981 the farm has considerable knowledge of captive breeding, crocodile farming and an established position in the market for raw skin, meat and by-products. The farm currently carries around 30,000 animals, with around 5,000 being slaughtered per annum. Operations are being grown to slaughter 15,000 animals per annum by 2009. The farm operates the only aqis approved abattoir in the nt and has export certifications for the EU and Singapore.
