Angela HISLOP - Nedlands

Counselling and psychotherapy for people with diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2; children, adolescents, and adults) and their family and friends. Issues explored include acceptance of and adjustment to diabetes, lack of motivation or poor self-management of diabetes, consistent unexplainable high blood sugars, recurrent hospitalisation due to diabetes-related factors, fear of hypoglycemic episodes, anxiety, depression, and/or eating disorders... and many other related issues.

Angela has a Masters of Psychology and is a qualified Diabetes Educator (Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education). She combines the two disciplines to work therapeutically with people experiencing social-emotional difficulties (which may interfere with the management of their diabetes).
