Ardrossan’s grapevine fringed verandah is a popular place for early morning coffee, mid-day reading and watching evening shadows stretch over cattle grazing in paddocks ringed by blue mountains. Just steps away from the verandah are a solar heated swimming pool and an eight-person heated spa.

Ardrossan has lots of farm animals. Damara sheep and cattlebrowse the paddocks, graceful white geese glide around Lake Esme and Muscovy ducks, black ducks, wood ducks, ibis, herons, cormorants, fish, and turtles call the lake home. Goldfish swim among water lilies, homing pigeons coo and beautiful native birds come to be fed every day.
