Brisbane's Academy of Middle Eastern Dance (AMED) has been established since 1989 . With  seven teachers in  eleven locations around Brisbane you are sure to find a teacher near you. AMED teachers cover technique, performance skills and styles from cabaret to folk including but not limited to Cabaret Orientale; Baladi; Saiidi; Khaleegy, Turkish Rom, Ghawazee; American Tribal Style (ATS); raks asaya (stick dance); sword; zills (finger cymbals); veil. Wellington Point Classes: The Classes : When: Monday night - 7:00-8:00pm (strictly 8 week terms) Where: 19 Station Street, Wellington Point Classes are in 8-week terms with enrolments and course fees due the Wednesday prior to classes commencing. Saghirah also has a 17 year background in other dance styles such as Ballroom, Rock  Roll, Flamenco, Latin, Argentinean Tango and Lindy Hop/Swing. After moving to Brisbane from Sydney (ex Perth) in 2000 Saghirah has established and run classes in the Redlands since 2001 and has been in Wellington Point since 2002.
