UME Nomiya is a Japanese Kitchen Bar in funky Fitzroy. We've been going strong for close to six years serving up a range of Japanese tipples and a menu of innovative dishes for snacking or dining. None of the tired old Japanese food you find around town here! We're known for our cocktails, our art exhibitions and our DJs spinning tunes on the weekends. Ume works beautifully as a function space for anything from a banquet for 20 to a cocktail party for 60 complete with finger food and dance floor.In 2006 we launched sister business YUZU Japanese Catering - to take an original Japanese experience to the people!
